The 9 bestpadel shoes of 2026

Padel shoes for men and women: nine current models with herringbone or hybrid soles, compared on grip, cushioning, stability, durability and comfort.

Updated: November 2026By Timo, PadelradarNot a lab test — a comparison built from product data and reviews

In padel, your shoes decide more points than you might think. On sand-filled artificial grass you need grip to stop dead and, at the same time, a little controlled slide so your knee doesn't lock as you turn. That balance is exactly what the best padel shoes are built for. Running shoes can't do it, and many tennis shoes have the wrong sole.

For this list I compared twelve current padel shoes that are easy to buy in Germany and Spain and picked the nine best: from a tough all-rounder to an entry-level shoe for under €60. Almost all of them come in men's and women's versions. What matters when it comes to sole, size and cushioning is explained below the list, and in more depth in my padel shoe guide.

    • Cons
    • Heaviest shoe with a published weight (456 g, US 10.5)
    • Runs long and needs a short break-in

My verdict: My overall pick, because it balances stability, cushioning and durability better than any other shoe in this comparison. The extra weight is the trade-off. If you are between sizes, Tennis Warehouse advises going half a size down.

  2. 02Babolat Jet Premura 3
#2 · Best for fast, attacking players

    Babolat Jet Premura 3 2026

    • No break-in, true to size
    • Cons
    • Slightly narrow last, not for wide feet
    • Less cushioning than the ASICS or adidas Boost

My verdict: My pick for fast, attacking players. Babolat calls the Jet Premura 3 its lightest and most reactive padel shoe, and pairs that with a Michelin outsole and no break-in. If your feet are wide, try it on first.

  3. 03Bullpadel Hack Vibram 26
    #3 · Most durable outsole

    Bullpadel Hack Vibram 26 2026

    • Highest RRP here; weight and drop unpublished

My verdict: If you wear soles smooth quickly, this is the shoe I'd point you to: the Vibram compound is built for abrasion and the toe cap protects when you drag your foot. You pay the highest RRP in the comparison, and Bullpadel publishes neither weight nor drop.

  4. 04adidas Crazyquick Boost Padel
    #4 · Best cushioning

    • Cons
    • Softer platform, less locked-in than the ASICS
    • Full price is high for its durability

My verdict: If cushioning matters most to you, this is my first recommendation: in my assessment the Boost midsole cushions more than any other here, yet the shoe weighs only 343 g (US 9.5). The ASICS Gel-Resolution X Padel holds your foot more firmly, and the €160 RRP is steep for its durability, so look for a deal.

    • Cons
    • No published weight or drop
    • No width data for wide feet

My verdict: If comfort comes first, the Nox AT10 Lux is my pick: soft midsole, Ortholite insole and a wider footprint for lateral support. Its weak spot is the data, as Nox publishes neither weight nor width, so try it on first if your feet are wide.

    • Cons
    • Mid-weight (391 g, US 10.5)
    • Little durability feedback so far

My verdict: My all-rounder pick: stable, comfortable, roomier than most padel shoes and often sold well below RRP. Durability is the open question, as head.com lists only two reviews so far, one of them reporting early sole separation.

  7. 07K-Swiss Ultra Court Padel
#7 · Best for wide feet

    • Cons
    • Runs slightly long
    • One customer review calls it narrow

My verdict: If most padel shoes pinch at the front, this is where I'd start: Tennis Warehouse rates the width as generous and Padel Market recommends it for wide feet. Don't simply size up, though, as it already runs slightly long and one review finds it narrow, so try it on if you can.

  8. 08adidas Crazyquick LS Padel
    #8 · Best for women

    adidas Crazyquick LS Padel 2026

    • Good toe-box space in the women's version
    • Cons
    • Firmer and less cushioned than the Boost
    • Sole labelling varies by retailer

My verdict: My recommendation for women: the women's version is Marta Ortega's signature shoe, and Padel Market highlights its toe-box space and forgiving instep. If you need more cushioning, go for the adidas Crazyquick Boost Padel instead. Women's colourways were available from €69.95 at Padel-Point.

    • Men's and women's versions
    • Cons
    • Less lateral support than premium models
    • Outsole wears faster for frequent players

My verdict: My value pick: for around €59 you get a proper herringbone sole, GEL cushioning and a weight of just 330 g. If you play more than three times a week or need a lot of stability, the extra money for a premium model is worth it.

Herringbone, omni or hybrid: which sole?

The herringbone sole is the standard in padel. Its zigzag tread bites into the sand on artificial grass and still lets you slide in a controlled way. The more sand there is on the court, the deeper the tread should be.

An omni sole is flatter and more versatile. It grips better on fast courts with little sand or on carpet-like indoor surfaces, but tends to slip on heavily sanded courts. If you play at several clubs and don't know the surface, a hybrid sole (herringbone in the middle, other patterns under the ball of the foot and the heel) is the safest choice.

Why not just wear running or tennis shoes?

Running shoes are built for moving forwards. They lack lateral support and give way when you turn, which is the most common route to a rolled ankle. Tennis shoes are better, but they're designed for longer straight sprints and often have a hard-court sole that slips on sand.

For your first taster session, indoor court shoes or tennis shoes will do. If you play regularly, get a proper pair of padel shoes soon. They cost less than a good racket and protect you more than anything else you'll buy.

Size and fit for men's and women's padel shoes

  • Buy your normal sports shoe size with about a thumb's width of room in front of your toes.
  • The midfoot must sit snugly and the heel mustn't slip. A loose heel is the most common cause of blisters.
  • Try shoes on with the socks you play in.
  • If you have wide feet, choose a model with a wide last (such as the K-Swiss Ultra Court Padel) rather than going up a size.
  • Some models run large: for the ASICS Gel-Resolution X Padel, retailers recommend going half a size down if you're between two sizes.
  • Women's padel shoes aren't just men's shoes in different colours. They have a narrower last at the heel and forefoot, and cushioning tuned to a lower body weight.

Cushioning and weight: why the best padel shoes aren't the softest

Lots of cushioning feels great in the shop but costs you stability on court. A very soft shoe tips over more easily on sideways steps. That's why good padel shoes cushion mainly at the heel and keep the forefoot firm.

As a rule of thumb for weight: shoes of around 300 to 350 grams make you more agile, while 350 to 400 grams give you more support. Manufacturers weigh their shoes at different sizes, though, which is why weight isn't in the comparison table.

How long do padel shoes last?

At two to three sessions a week, a pair of padel shoes lasts about six to twelve months. Replace them when the tread under the ball of the foot and at the toe is worn smooth, or when the cushioning goes. You'll notice it when steps start to feel hard and your calves tire sooner, even though there's still tread to be seen.

Knock the sand out after playing, don't put them in the washing machine and don't dry them on a radiator: heat loosens the bond between midsole and outsole. If you play a lot, rotate two pairs.

How I chose

I compared twelve padel shoes that are current in November 2026 and available in Germany and Spain. My sources are the manufacturers' specifications for sole, cushioning and last, data from large retailers (such as Padel-Point and Tennis Warehouse) and the ratings of specialist review sites.

The scores from 1 to 10 for grip, cushioning, stability, durability and comfort are my own assessment based on these sources, not a lab test. Prices are typical street prices on 2 November 2026 and vary considerably depending on colour and promotions. The ranking doesn't depend on which retailer you buy from.

Frequently asked questions about padel shoes

›What are the best padel shoes?

In my comparison the ASICS Gel-Resolution X Padel comes out on top: plenty of support, a deep herringbone sole and cushioning that doesn't turn spongy. Fast, attacking players are better off with the Babolat Premura 3, and frequent players with the Bullpadel Hack Vibram 26, which has the most durable sole.

›What are the best padel shoes for women?

Almost every model on the list comes in a women's version with a narrower last. The adidas Crazyquick LS Padel, which Marta Ortega also plays in, is a particularly good choice. If you want more cushioning, go for the adidas Crazyquick Boost or the NOX AT10 Lux.

›Which padel shoes are best for wide feet?

The K-Swiss Ultra Court Padel has a wide last and is the best choice for wide feet. The Babolat Premura 3 and the Bullpadel Hack tend to be narrow. If your feet are wide, buy a wider model rather than going up a size.

›Which sole do I need for padel?

For most courts, a herringbone sole, because it grips the sand on artificial grass. An omni sole is better suited to courts with little sand. If you play at different clubs, a hybrid sole is the safest bet.

›Can I play padel in tennis shoes?

For a taster session, yes; for regular play, padel shoes are better. Tennis shoes often have a hard-court sole that slips on sand, and they're built for longer straight sprints rather than the short turns of padel.

›How much do good padel shoes cost?

You can get good padel shoes from about €60, such as the ASICS Gel-Dedicate 9 Padel or the Kuikma PS Dynamic from Decathlon. Top models have a list price of €160 to €180 and usually sell for €90 to €130.

›How long do padel shoes last?

At two to three sessions a week, about six to twelve months. Once the tread under the ball of the foot and at the toe is worn smooth, or every step feels hard, it's time for a new pair.
